I’m a licensed marriage and family therapist in the state of California. I believe that a therapeutic relationship is a collaborative one! In the initial phases of therapy, the degree of collaboration will ultimately vary from person to person, and I’m all for that!
Balance is a concept we frequently hear about and are encouraged to implement. Balance is crucial to our overall wellbeing, and it can be challenging to find “balance” when busyness is also applauded. I prioritize supporting individuals’ exploration of what “balance” looks like and means to them in the present. Our own versions of “balance” fluctuate depending on current life events, life transitions, personal struggles, interpersonal relationships, etc.
It’s essential that I know about your learning style and what a “safe space” means to you! Curiosity is important as we make room for self-growth and self-acceptance to coexist. Therapy is not intended to be a one-size-fits-all approach. I prioritize using an integrative approach which aligns with your goals and values.
My experience working with adolescents, adults, and families stems from working in various residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient treatment centers in the Los Angeles area. Specialties include: anxiety, life transitions, disordered eating/eating disorders, and interpersonal relationships. I also specialize in working with the preteen, teen and the young adult populations; we address themes which may arise during these particular phases of life, such as academic pressures, life transitions, peer/parent conflict, romantic relationships, managing stress, and overall exploration of evolving identities, interests & goals.
If you would like more information or you would like to discuss if working together would be a therapeutic fit, please reach out to schedule a 15-minute consultation.
